Intro: Chapter Eight is the climax of the section on “Sanctification” (chaps. 6–8) and supplies the answers to the questions raised about the Law and the flesh. The Holy Spirit dominates the entire chapter, for it is through the indwelling Spirit that we overcome the flesh and live a fruitful Christian life. The chapter can be summarized in three phrases: no condemnation, no obligation, and no separation.
